Managing Complex Innovation-based Business

Venue: The Swedish Exhibition & Congress centre
Monday May 30 at 13:30-17:00

Tuesday May 31 at 13:30-17:00

There should be no doubt that the world is perceived as becoming increasingly more volatile, uncertain and complex, and that this trend is expected to continue.  Within the theme of Managing complex innovation-based business, participants at CIP FORUM 2011 will explore how both public and private actors deal with an increasingly complex innovation landscape characterized by industry convergence, increasingly rapid product life-cycles, and near-instant global access to knowledge and innovation.

What capabilities and tools are needed to successfully benefit from collaborative research and development? What are open innovation and open business models, when you go beneath the surface of the buzzwords? How do large, traditional companies transform themselves and their business models to meet new challenges? How can SME’s design their business models to prepare for rapid scalability, and how can they come up with and test the assumptions that will help them redefine their business as they and their contexts evolve? These are some of the questions that will be discussed in the four sessions during Monday and Tuesday afternoon
