Workshop: Marketplace Perspectives on IP Risk Management
Time: 14.00-15.30 Sunday May 29
Today’s high-tech products can contain hundreds or thousands of patented inventions resulting in an invention gap for technology companies. This gap—the difference between the invention rights companies own and the intellectual property (IP) assets they use—represents a strategic risk and potentially substantial financial liability. This panel will share perspectives on addressing these business challenges, including IP defense against both practicing entities (PEs) and Non-Practicing Entities (NPEs), IP business models, and best practices in IP management.
Moderator: Raymond Hegarty, Vice President and General Manager of Global Licensing Europe of Intellectual Ventures Europe
Panelists:
- Michael Lubitz, CEO & Chairman Global Technology Transfer Group
- Malcolm Lawrence, CEO, HLLB Shaw
