How we work

The vision of CIP FORUM has since its inception been to bring together the world’s top thought-leaders participating in the building of business to create wealth and welfare in the global knowledge economy. The goal has always been to advance the understanding of, and need for, modern business models, skills, and tools required to create value from intellectual assets, property and capital for the combined benefit of industry, academia and society. Central to the success of the knowledge economy is the need to build an effective intellectual infrastructure that supports industrial, regional and university actors on a global scale.

To achieve these goals, the participants in the development of CIP FORUM 2011 are all working in close collaboration to find the latest progress within the field of knowledge-based business and society to highlight the complexity that is inherent in the knowledge economy and to find new ways in which this can be managed.

There is a certain allocation of responsibility in relation to the management and development of CIP FORUM 2011. The core tasks of developing the content of CIP FORUM 2011 are assigned to functional Development Teams that spearhead the particular themes of CIP FORUM 2011. These Development Teams are made up by individuals that have complete domain area knowledge and are dedicated to the project operations and are empowered to make decisions regarding the outline of sessions, speakers and workshops to be assigned to the program of CIP FORUM 2011. These Development Teams have an ultimate design responsibility and receive continuous feedback to be able to make alterations and adjustments to the program, resulting in an ongoing process that characterizes CIP FORUM 2011. If there are any suggestions for different sections of the program or for a specific theme, the Development Teams will make a uniform decision and oversee that the true spirit of CIP FORUM 2011 is maintained and that as many as possible should be included in the process.

The Development Teams are in turn supported by a dedicated Project Team that oversees the development and coordinates the efforts according to the predetermined project plan. There are multiple stakeholders involved that work continuously to follow the latest developments and that captures the essence of CIP FORUM and work in close affiliation with the Development Teams and Partners.

The field of knowledge-based business and society is fluctuating and ever-changing, which is a feature that CIP FORUM 2011 would like to seize and have affect the development of the Forum. This results in a dynamic working process since CIP FORUM 2011 is aiming at having the latest issues and challenges addressed in its sessions.
