Organizers of CIP FORUM 2011
CIP is a non-profit development center at the intersection of industry and academia facilitating knowledge-based business. Founded in a joint effort between Chalmers University of Technology and School of Business, Economics and Law at University of Gothenburg, CIP’s mission is to drive and facilitate a shift to an intellectualized economy for the benefit of industry, academia and society as a whole. The master’s students of the CIP associated schools of ICM, CSE and GIBBS will, in the same way as during previous forums, be an important part of facilitating CIP FORUM 2011.

Göteborg & Co’s activities are primarily aimed at enhancing the life quality of people living and working in Gothenburg. Tourism contributes to this in several ways. It helps build bridges between people of different cultures and ethnic backgrounds. It creates a broader range of entertainment, cultural and sports events, restaurants, shops, visitor attractions etc. It provides income for many companies and creates job opportunities. It brings high tax income into the community, thus helping to finance the “soft” sector. Tourism also creates a basis for developing a larger and more attractive infrastructure.
