Research

The research and development at CIP has three main themes;

  • Intellectual Assets, Property & Capital; capturing the value creation mechanism in R&D and business creation contexts
  • Universities and Innovations Systems in a Knowledge Economy; capturing the value creation mechanism in an institutional and organizational context
  • Globalization and Intellectualization of the Welfare State; capturing the welfare creation mechanism in a political and societal context

As theories, models, and tools need to be developed in a context we are also focusing our efforts on three areas;

  • Biotechnology
  • Information and Communication Technology
  • Creative Industries

The CIP Research and Development Programs are committed to create and foster;

an operational theory to unveil and govern the value and welfare creation mechanism in the interaction of the system world and the life world

a group of cutting edge specialists that can explain, partake in, and create value and wealth creation processes

a constantly improving set of tools to be used in the value and wealth creation process

new firms and products (capital)

To achieve this, a number a research programs have been formed capturing one or more themes within our focus areas. The majority of these research programs are conducted in close cooperation with international partners and under committed leadership by CIP.
